I Miss You When You're Away
When my Truelove goes away - even for a day I miss him so much. He is always with me in my heart and attached to my soul, but I feel so much more complete when he is physically with me.
A love like ours is everlasting and complete . . .

Flowers that mean so much
Always a symbol of our love
A perfect bouquet, my favourite colours
Lilac, pink and as white as a dove
How you always remember
Each special day
And spoil me
In every perfect way
Your sweet note in my purse
Remind me of our love so true
Every moment you are away
Inscribed ‘I love you’
Your soft tender lips kissing goodbye
Our day's so long when we are apart
Happy am I to hear your key in the lock
When you return to me sweetheart
Your arms tight around me
And the warmth of your touch
Whispering
words I've longed to hear
How you’ve missed me so much
A candle lit meal
With our favourite wine
Together again to share every moment
Of our blissful romance, yours and mine
With hungry anticipation
Looking into my eyes once more
Caressing my hand
We lead each other to the bedroom door
Slowly we kiss and entwine
Your soft gentle touch

I still have all the love notes my David wrote just a few short 30 years ago :)
and they still make me cry with happiness when I read them over again!

What a beautiful and heartfelt poem. I am so pleased for you. I can also add that I was married for 26years to a violent bully, but I left him in 2002 and said that I would never get involved again. But I met Dai and he has been my partner for five years now and that poem could have been from me to him or vice versa. He had also had a very long but unhappy marriage and I count myself as very lucky to have found him.
So enjoy your life and I am so glad to have got to know you. By the way I give this one an up and awesome.

I'm working (slowly) through your pieces. This was very sweet. I've been known to leave a note or two myself. And I loved to bring "Her" flowers- for no reason. She loves yellow. especially sunflowers. I had mentioned before that I had once had words like yours flow-aplenty from my own fingers easily. But this was not the case with everyone who was in my life. Once... only once, did a Woman move me so. She was a dark-eyed Italian/Welsh Beauty. I called her eyes "crystalline-brown". I could so easily just wax rhapsodic... I swear. I used to write and write and write to her... I referred to her OWN love of me, the expression of her heart as a: "Fiery Brazier upon which to forge my own Heart"... It literally is a "song" in your heart when you are like this. It's beautiful. (and no, I don't WANT a replacement female, in my case). There can be no such thing. It is impossible to 'replace' her. I despise the "other fish in the sea" argument. But I do miss "Her". Just as you mention the feeling here. When "gone", you simply are waiting for their return. Very Much So. Very very touching. Beautiful Work.
